 Michael Ojo aka Michael Olalekan Ojo was Created on January 5, 1993, and out of Lagos, Nigeria. He was a Nigerian-American professional basketball player and has been among the tallest and heaviest players ever to play in Serbia and Europe.




He passed away on August 7, 2020, and he was 27 years old throughout his period of passing. On Friday, Ojo collapsed during training in Serbia, his former group Red Star Belgrade explained. Furthermore, he was rushed to the hospital in the Serbian capital but declared dead.

Red Star said in a statement"The sudden and shocking death has deeply shaken everybody in the bar," and according to the source, he was tested positive for the coronavirus, but that he'd recovered. Local press reported that he died of a heart attack.

Sam Lunt, the former associate director of sports medicine for men's basketball at FSU, told the Tallahassee Democrat"I am devastated," and"I was able to bring him into the house for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. Loved that man."

Afterwards, Mark Zeigler, a faculty member at Florida State Tweeted"Michael Ojo. Rest in Peace my great friend," and added"You brought joy to all of us at the Seminole family. Thank you for your work in class and on the court. Thank you for being so good to your classmates. This one has knocked the wind out of me, friends."

He graduated in 2017, was playing professionally for Partizan in Serbia. Next, after going undrafted in 2017, Ojo moved to Europe where he began his professional basketball career with FMP Belgrade.

Later, he signed up with the regional Adriatic League champions, Red Star Belgrade, where he was hugely popular with the club's lovers in 2018.

Ojo averaged 6.3 points and 3.3 rebounds in the ABA league and 4.1 points and 3 rebounds in the EuroLeague with Red Star. What's more, the Belgrade club released him at the end of this season, and Ojo was thought to be looking for one more group in Europe.

The 7-foot-1 Ojo was created in Nigeria before coming to the United States to finish high school and land a scholarship to Florida State. He went on to start 78 games for the Seminoles throughout his school career and became a fan favorite known for his high character and friendliness.

Ojo wore shoe size 21 and Nike reportedly had to spend $15,000 on a machine to create a dimension to fit him while he played basketball in Florida.

Talking about his schooling he graduated from FSU with his bachelor's degree in international affairs.
