Anjana Om Kashyap was created on 12 June 1975 (age 44 years; as in 2019) at Ranchi, the capital town of Jharkhand, India. Her family has its own origins in Arrah town of Bihar. She was a physician and after finishing her education, she seemed for lots of Pre-Medical Entrance Tests. But she couldn't crack any of these. Anjana, subsequently, got registered herself in Daulat Ram College, Delhi University to pursue honours at Botany. She also did her masters in social functions in the Delhi School of Social Works. Thereafter, she ready for UPSC examinations but failed to clean them. Finally, she did a degree course in Journalism from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. After finishing her course, she looked for a variety of interviews and got chosen as a news anchor in Doordarshan.

Career
Anjana began her career as a journalist in 2003 using the series"Ankhon Dekhi" on Doordarshan. At precisely the exact same year, she resigned from her place in Doordarshan and combined Zee News. She worked there since the desk job holder for approximately five decades and then combined News 24 as an anchor in 2007. Aaj Tak faced a backlash in which their anchor Ashok Singhal requested an improper question to the HRD Minister Smriti Irani while she had been addressing a language in the Delhi University. Singhal requested Irani the reason for being named as the HRD ministry from the Prime Minister Narendra Modi despite being of a young age and with problems over her level. The issue angered the Union and even the crowd began protesting. The series has been co-anchored by Anjana who came beneath the controversy because of being a mute spectator to the remark.
