After he gave his 12th board evaluation, his parents enrolled him Modern College of Arts, Science, and Commerce, Pune to pursue his alliance from Engineering. He moved to Mumbai after he finished his alliance to pursue his career in acting. After debuting at the TV business with his series, Mamta at 2006, Harshad appeared on several shows such as Left Right Left, Ambar Dhara, Tere Liye, Dharampatni, etc..

His series,'Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil' acquired him immense fame. The series continued for four decades, i.e. out of, 2008-2014.
He was also awarded the New Talent Awards Greatest at the New Onscreen Couple class with Additi Gupta at 2008, Indian Television Academy Awards at GR8! Face Of The Year and at Many Popular Actor classes in 2010.
In 2018, he combined with Jennifer Winget starred at the series, Bepannah.
