Elijah Weatherspoon has been 18 years old Black and Puerto Rican man whose body was discovered Sunday (June 28) following a boating trip with his pals. Curently, over 50,000 individuals have signed a petition calling for Elijah Weatherspoon's passing to be researched.
Around 11 pm close to the Ravenel Bridge, the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) reacted to a telephone on Thursday (June 25) a boater went lost.
Afterwards, his body has been discovered at the water a few days afterwards and his family has said they have gotten conflicting reports about exactly what occurred.
But, his cause of death remains unknown and the autopsy is still underway. Elizabeth Dobbins who's a Deputy Coroner in a meeting stated that"At this moment, the reason for death is pending awaiting autopsy."
1 witness told into the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources which Weatherspoon had jumped off the ship and never resurfaced yet another witness stated that they made"contact" with him. But it is not clear what"made contact" means or what occurred before Weatherspoon was at the water.

Elijah didn't come home that night. His body was discovered June 28th, 2020 at the Cooper River.
The events resulting in his death are uncertain and are being treated like he had been just another black guy who could not swim and drowned. When, in reality, he could swim. The men and women that have been with him have tales which don't match up.
He dropped off the ship and struck his head on a stone.
He dropped off the ship and his buddy tried to rescue him couldn't.
He jumped away from the ship himself refused to get back and drowned.
Those are merely a few of the situation his household was told. The authorities won't investigate further and also the local news is no more reporting Elijah.
Please sign this petition to maintain his case open and properly researched. Don't allow Elijah's case collect dust and be dismissed. The seven people on the ship with him may no longer be shielded and the authorities can't be quietly complicit.
