Akhilendra Mishra is an Indian actor. He is best known for playing the role of 'Karoor Singh' in the TV serial "Chandrakanta" (1990s). Mishra largely plays villainous and comic characters.

Akhilendra Mishra was created on 28 March 1962 (age 57 years; as in 2019) at Chhapra, Bihar, India. He spent four years of his youth in a gurukul in the city where his dad worked. Akhilendra attended Chhapra Zila School and went to Chapra's Rajendra College to pursue BSc in Physics Honours. Mishra desired to be an Engineer but his fascination with acting invited him to go into the film industry. He began doing theater at a really young age and did his very first part in a Bhojpuri drama"Gauna Ki Rat" which was based on child marriage.

Later, he combined IPTA (Indian People's Theatre Association) and also Ekjut theatre group to learn acting.

Akhilendra started his acting career in 1990 with the TV serial "Udaan." Next, he played the role of Kroor Singh in Doordarshan's television show"Chandrakanta." His function was commended by the general public.
