Wiki/Biography

Navjot Singh Sidhu was created on 20 October 1963 (age 55 decades, as in 2018) at Patiala, Punjab. He did his schooling from Patiala's Yadavindra Public School and proceeded into Mohindra College, Panjab University, Chandigarh to pursue his schooling. The same as his father, he also wished to become a cricketer. In age 20, he gave a trial to the Indian National Cricket Team and got chosen in the group.

Livelihood

Navjot Singh Sidhu made his international cricket introduction in 1983 where he managed to score only 19 runs against West Indies in a Test cricket game. He had been dropped from the team after playing just two Test matches. After 4 years, He left his One-Day International Debut at the 1987 Cricket World Cup where he scored 73 runs against Australia. Then he scored half-centuries in four of those five matches where he batted. His very first ODI century came from Pakistan in Sharjah in 1989. In 1993, he left his highest ODI score of 134 runs against England. After playing in over 50 Test games and over 100 ODIs and scoring within 7,000 runs in his 18-year profession, Sidhu announced his retirement from all forms of cricket at December 1999.

Afterwards, he also started doing commentary for Cricket.

He won the elections held the chair until 2014. He had been nominated to the Rajya Sabha before resigning from his position in the identical calendar year. After departing BJP, he eventually joined the Indian National Congress (INC) on 15th January 2017.

Controversies

In 2006, Sidhu was sentenced to some 3-year prison sentence for culpable homicide after the 1988 road rage episode. However, his sentence was suspended from the Indian Supreme Court following his charm.
A complaint was lodged against Sidhu into Akal Takht for twisting the words from Gurbani by the All India Sikh Student Federation (AISSF).
In 2014, Navjot was accused of having a contractual arrangement with Star India by working as a commentator for Set Max's Indian Premier League.
On 18 August 2018, Sidhu was one of the special guests present at the oath-taking service of Imran Khan in the Aiwan-e-Sadr (the President House) in Islamabad, Pakistan. There is hugged General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the Pakistani military leader, for which he was highly criticised in India.

His greatest ODI score was of 134 runs against England in Gwalior in 1993.
He created a list of scoring 500 Test runs at a calendar year thrice, firstly at the calendar year 1993, then in 1994, and later, in 1997.
