Her parents emigrated from Canada into the United States in the 1960s, Small attended Colchester High School and graduated from Burlington Technical Center at 2012.
Afterward, she made a B.S. in Human Development & Family Studies and a minor in Sexuality & Gender Identity Studies from the University of Vermont.
